Poodle Puppy Health Guarantee

At Johnson Family Poodles, we encourage you to compare our health guarantee to that of other breeders—you’ll find ours among the best online! Our Poodle puppies come from healthy parents and carefully selected, and we stand behind their health with a comprehensive Health Warranty.

What Is the Poodle Puppy Health Warranty?

First, it’s important to understand that no one can truly guarantee that a living being will never get sick. That’s why the correct term is Health Warranty, which provides a reasonable degree of protection for your investment in a Poodle puppy.

Our Health Warranty consists of two parts:


Part 1 – Protection Against Receiving an Unhealthy Puppy

Your Poodle puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of leaving our care. If your veterinarian determines the puppy is ill or unfit for sale, you may either:

  • Return the puppy for a full refund of the sale price, or

  • Choose a “next available” Poodle puppy of your preference.

Important Details:

  • An original written statement from your veterinarian is required.

  • Veterinary fees are not reimbursed.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, except if we arranged shipping to your location—we will cover return shipping or shipping for the “next available” puppy.

  • The 72-hour time limit is strict, as viruses and illnesses do not respect weekends or holidays. Extending this limit could place undue responsibility on us for conditions acquired after leaving our careful supervision.


Part 2 – Protection Against Genetic or Congenital Issues

If your Poodle puppy is diagnosed with a serious genetic defect or congenital disease before one year of age, we will provide a healthy replacement puppy.

Examples of qualifying conditions include:

  • Life-threatening heart conditions

  • Genetic defects

  • Degenerative nerve disorders

Conditions that do NOT qualify include:

  • Innocent heart murmurs or minor treatable issues

  • Any condition that does not significantly affect the puppy’s quality of life

We may request a second veterinary opinion at our expense to confirm the diagnosis. No warranty coverage applies in cases of neglect or violations of the Sales Agreement. If a healthy replacement cannot be provided within six months, or if our kennel is no longer operating, we will refund the original purchase price of the puppy, excluding shipping fees.
